The role is ideal for an experienced retail leader who enjoys working with people, supporting a team, and creating a positive customer experience in a fast-paced environment. The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in leading daily store operations, developing Associates, and achieving sales and customer service goals.
What You’ll Do
- Support store sales, expenses, and daily operations
- Oversee merchandising, customer service, cash office, backroom, and frontline activities
- Help manage scheduling, shipping, receiving, markdowns, and store changes
- Train, develop, and support Associates
- Lead by example and create a positive team environment
- Support loss prevention and help reduce shrink and damages
- Implement company initiatives, projects, and action plans
- Help improve store layout, organization, and efficiency
- Support sales and customer service goals
Requirements
- At least 2 years of retail leadership experience as an Assistant Manager
- Experience leading, developing, and supporting a large team
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to provide feedback, coaching, and mentorship
- Knowledge of retail operations, merchandising, and customer service
- Understanding of people management, health and safety, and loss prevention
- Strong follow-through and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment
